This class is proposed for the 14th Annual PantheaCon 2008 (February 15-18) Convention in San Jose. There will be around 200 classes, workshops, and other events. Also, one of the highlights is the Masquerade Ball on Saturday. There will be over 60 booths of vendors. For more information go to their website at  http://www.ancientways.com/

This class focuses on beginning weaving techniques along with how to prepare straw for weaving, sources on books and materials, stories about weavings, information on local groups, and thoughts on how to use weavings in magic. In this class each student will make at least one weaving (a harvest knot or North African Cage) to bring home with them and many students will be able to make both weavings. All material and supplies are provided. This is a hands on class where each student making a weaving will receive personal instruction.

The North African Cage that is found in Egypt and Morocco. Although it is not “usually referred to as a House Blessing, its purpose was-and is-to bless the home.[1]” This is a free workshop and all the material will be provided. William and Angela will teach participants how to make this traditional motif.

Angela is an eclectic pagan writer and a part of the Pagan community for several years.

William has identified himself as a Pagan for over 25 years on a Pagan Philosophy (Greco-Roman Moralist Tradition) path. He is the Program Coordinator for the OC CUUPS Group. He teaches wheat weaving for the Pagan community. Along with wheat weaving, his other spiritual artistic outlet is playing the medieval harp. He is the assistant organizer the Orange County Pagan Meetup.com group (http://pagan.meetup.com/10).
